Much of the older building stock was constructed from the early 1900’s through the beginning of the Second World War. There are some advantages to purchasing and refurbishing some of these units; many are located in very attractive neighborhoods where there is no available land for new developments; plus, the more varied nature of the secondary marketplace presents the opportunity to find especially attractive deals.

We have established a network of contacts that refer us to owners that may be interested in selling and we do a tremendous amount of leg-work in canvassing the city for existing units that might be attractive to refurbish and either hold for resale and/or offer as rental properties. We are familiar with the most common types of buildings and their construction quality, as well as what is involved to renovate the units. When it comes time to renovate, we have working relationships with subcontractors and can manage the process of making improvements to the properties.
